Thanks to storage apps, we can not only store photos, music and documents on our Smartphones, but we can also access them from multiple devices and maintain backups. Dropbox, the most popular in this category, recently announced a cut in its monthly charges mainly to tackle the competitive pricing from its biggest competitor - Google Drive. With increasing competition, this development from Dropbox can be seen as an effort to further strengthen its position.

This week we explore our ODM data to understand how popular Dropbox app is amongst our panelists in the US. Our data reveals that the app leads the category with a Reach of 15% while Google Drive is not far behind and enjoys a penetration of 13% in the market.
