Katalon, the leading provider of the most modern, comprehensive quality management platform, today announced the appointment of Alex Estevez to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Estevez is a software industry veteran with expertise in helping software companies scale. He has been involved in the creation of eight software unicorns, either as an executive or investor.
Mr. Estevez has invested and advised several leading software companies worldwide, including 1Password, Front, FullStory, Miro, Nuvemshop, UIPath, and Webflow. Currently, Mr. Estevez serves as an independent director for FullStory and Venture Atlanta, and he recently completed his service as an independent director for Revenue Analytics (sold to Lead Edge Capital). He has also served as an advisory board member for BetterCloud (sold to Vista Equity) and AlienVault (sold to NYSE: AT&T).
As an executive, Mr. Estevez served as Chief Financial Officer of Atlassian, a global leader in team collaboration software valued at over $40 billion. Prior to Atlassian, Mr. Estevez served as CFO of Silicon Valley-based BigFix (sold to IBM) and President & CFO of South Carolina-based Datastream (sold to Infor).
Mr. Estevez started his career as an investment banking analyst at Raymond James, based in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida, where he helped lead the Datastream IPO. He earned an MBA with distinction from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree with honors from Harvard College. In 2014, Mr. Estevez relocated from Silicon Valley to Greenville, South Carolina, his wife’s hometown, and his new springboard for investment and advisory opportunities outside of the Bay Area.
