Almost everyone, from teenagers to adults, men & women, owns or wants to own a SmartPhone. But do all users operate their devices similarly or does usage differ by age or gender? This week, we explore usage of SmartPhones among males and females to understand contrasts or similarities in usage.
Our on device mobile measurement data reveals that women are more active on SmartPhones, spending around 5 hours on their devices while men spend around 3 ½ hours per day. They also show higher engagement on Social Networking apps and Games as compared to men. When checked on Communication activities, Calls show higher time spent among women, while usage of Chat & VOIP apps is higher among men.
