The increasing number of connected mobile devices have changed the way consumers view video content. Video sharing properties like YouTube need to be credited in driving video consumption online and then on SmartPhones. However, TV apps havenít found as many takers. While in most of the countries, Video apps on Android reach as many as 60% of users, the reach of TV apps is only around a quarter of those levels.
Data from our global mobile measurement panels indicate that usage of TV apps among Android SmartPhones is highest in Thailand followed by India and Indonesia. While DIRECTV gained maximum reach in the US, apps like nexGTV - Mobile TV Live TV and Mivo TV Live Streaming obtained highest reach across India and Indonesia respectively.
