A recent research had revealed that Android is the top Operating System in the US, with every 1 out of 2 users using it. With so many handset brands running on the Android OS, we decided to check if there was any difference in the usage amongst the top 4 brands.
Our on device mobile measurement data reveals that the time spent on specific genres varies across handset brands. It is observed that the engagement level on Games, Social Networking and Call is higher among Samsung users while the usage of eBooks, Mobile Coupons and Blogging apps is more prominent among LG users. HTC users spend relatively higher time on Image and Dating apps while Chat usage is highest amongst Motorola users.
