While apps dominate the SmartPhone usage, web contributes to a smaller share of pie. Our On Device Mobile Measurement data shows that though the engagement level on browser remains same, there is a slow and consistent drop in the page views.

So does this mean that browsing on SmartPhones is slowly diminishing?

89% of SmartPhone users still access the Native Browser. On an average, a user spends 24 mins per day on the browser with an average session lasting 4 minutes. More than one third of browser usage happens at night. Though Search, Social Networking and Shopping continue to be the most popular genres; Search and Social networking also see greater erosion in terms of page views with users accessing these properties on apps.
