In June, GMail got a swanky new look with the introduction of tabbed email view and auto-sorting of emails. This week, we look at whether GMail's new look has translated into higher usage along with a competitive view of its closest rival, Yahoo! Mail.

GMail web reach shows an increase over the last few months. Gmail app reach, which was on a decline, picked up marginally after the interface facelift. Yahoo! Mail meanwhile had stable reach until May, shows a dip in June.
